At your place of work
Employer contacts us to make an appointment for a Sightmakers Optician to visit their company.
We will travel to your place of work to measure and fit employees for prescription safety glasses. There is normally no charge for this part of our service.

Initial Fitting
We now determine what type of frame and lens combination will best suit each worker’s occupational needs. An Optical Prescription for each individual can be obtained from a current pair of glasses. Alternatively you can fax a copy of their prescription to us later.

An On-Site eye examination can also be arranged for workers whose prescription data is not available.

We make up the glasses
Our in house full service lab will make up the Safety Glasses matching the speciation obtained during the initial fitting. Then Lenses are then checked to ensure compliance with AS/NZ1337.6 AS/NZ 1336 and AS1228. (Our manufacturing standards exceed AS1228)

Delivery
We will contact you to arrange a suitable time for delivery. We return to fit a, adjust and check each pair of safety glasses. This part of the process is important to ensure wearer compliance. Correctly fitting eyewear will improve the overall effectiveness of your Eye Protection program.

Employee comes to Us
Your company issues Authorisation this can be in the form of a letter, email or phone call. An appointment is made for the employee at our store. Our Eye care Professionals discuss their workplace needs and select the best frame lens combination for the work activities. A comprehensive eye examination can also take place at this time. This further improves accuracy of the completed safety glasses.

Delivery
When the prescription safety glasses are completed we will contact you to arrange a time for your employee to pick up their glasses. Alternatively we can deliver and fit them at your place of work.
